Notre Dame International Development in Practice

Throughout the Spring 2021 semester, Rusalia has paired up with the University of Notre Dame’s International Development in Practice class taught by Steve Reifenberg. The class teaches development through real-world experience. Development Advisory Teams become consultants for various organizations focused on human-centered development.

This semester, the Rusalia DAT team helped develop a new college-ready program for the RRF scholars. Their project was based on four main objectives.

1) To engage Rusalia scholars to make them more prepared for university/ college education.

2) To develop skills of college-ready girls on how to relate in society

3) To impart life skills to the girls for college life and beyond.

4) To develop empowered girls and leaders in society.

Meg, Hannah, and Sara, worked very hard this semester, and despite challenges due to COVID-19, created an amazing solution for RRF. A key component of their success was their use of accompaniment, taking into account various interviews with RRF scholars and mentors while creating their deliverable.
